This Is the Most Popular Whole30 Recipe on Pinterest
The whole idea behind the Whole30 program is that a person can reset their eating habits by eliminating potential "trigger foods" for 30 days, then gradually reintroducing them after the month is over and seeing how each affects them. It's a pretty big change for a lot of people, but it's become extremely popular in the last couple of years. The idea of changing one's life by eating whole foods is appealing — and even if it's hard, it's just for 30 days.
Whole30-approved recipes can't contain any dairy, grains, alcohol, legumes, added sugar, or anything with carrageenan, MSG, or sulfites. Naturally, that means a lot of Whole30 followers wind up on Pinterest looking for new recipes that fit the program.
The single most-popular Whole30 recipe on the platform is this slow cooker white chicken chili from The Real Food Dietitians, which has been saved more than 256,000 times. This recipe is really doing double-duty on Pinterest, too, because it's also the single most popular slow cooker recipe on the site.

This chicken chili does not contain any beans, as beans are not allowed on Whole30. But in addition to being Whole30- and Paleo-approved, this recipe is also gluten-free, dairy-free, and requires very little hands-on effort. The chicken, vegetables, and spices all go into the slow cooker with broth, and seven hours later the chicken can be shredded with a fork. Coconut milk gives it a creamy texture. The spice level can also be adjusted to taste; some people leave out the jalapeños, while others double them.
There are more than 300 comments on Pinterest and more than 100 photos of other people's attempts at the recipe. Most people seem to really like it (a couple say they've made it in their Instant Pots, too).
The second most-popular Whole30 recipe of 2018 is this blackened chicken and avocado salad from North South Blonde. That one's been saved more than 37,000 times. It has a way to go to catch up to the chili, but it's still extremely popular.
