Celebrate Pi Day with This Bourbon Apple Pie

Today is Pi Day, the celebration of the Greek symbol Pi, which is used in mathematics to "represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159."

What does this have to do with you? Well, in food-people terms, Pi Day is really just an excuse to eat lots of pie.

Any holiday that dictates that I eat pie is a good holiday in book. And what better way to celebrate than with apple pie?

The recipe for the crust and filling are both pretty straightforward and classic, but the addition of bourbon in the filling and the adorable "3.145" on the top are what really take this pie to the next level.

Happy Pi Day to all the math nerds and pie lovers out there!
