Gorgeous Folklore-Inspired Tea Towels from Mirdinara Kitchen
Read almost anything this time of year, and you'll find a directive to reinvigorate your life. I'm not knocking that (far from it, as I'm in the midst of a full-home decluttering project myself which was definitely inspired by New Year-newness), but sometimes it feels like I've heard — and dispensed — all the "reset" wisdom there is. I'd even joked to Faith that I wasn't interested in writing another post about how to refresh your kitchen this January by buying a new tea towel.
Then I came across these tea towels from Ohio-based Mirdinara Kitchen, and what did I do? I bought a new tea towel for my kitchen.
Once I saw the Flying Geese towel, I was smitten and couldn't resist placing an order. (I also bought this Castle print for my daughter's nursery.) Designed by illustrator and fabric designer Dinara Mirtalipova, I adore the folky tea towel patterns inspired by her Uzbekistan background — the result of feeing, as she says on her Etsy page, "forever swallowed in the world of folk tales and ethnic music."
What's even lovelier about these towels, though, is that each one comes beautifully packaged and includes a hand-drawn recipe card. I know the holiday gift-giving season is over, but her shop is definitely one to file away for birthday or hostess gifts.
